Rwandan genocide survivors seek justice 30 years on

As Rwanda begins sombre commemorations for the 30th anniversary of the 1994 genocide that left over 800,000 people dead, many survivors seeking justice accuse France of inaction during the mass slaughter. In video message published on Sunday, President Emmanuel Macron said he believes France and its Western and African allies “could have stopped” the genocide in Rwanda but did not have the will to do so.
