UNESCO puts four Rwanda genocide memorials on World Heritage list

Four memorials to the 1994 Rwanda genocide are now part of UNESCO’s World Heritage list. The sites at Nyamata, Murambi, Gisozi and Bisesero commemorate the mass killings of a majority of Tutsis but also moderate Hutus, between April and July 1994. Meanwhile, the Sudanese army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan is attending the UN General Assembly. Finally, we see how Ghanaian engineers are using artificial intelligence to tackles pests and diseases, responsible for the destruction of 30 percent of food production.
