Four memorials to the 1994 Rwanda genocide are now part of UNESCO’s World Heritage list. The sites at Nyamata, Murambi, Gisozi and Bisesero commemorate the mass killings of a majority of Tutsis but also moderate Hutus, between April and July 1994.
