Nigeria unions begin indefinite general strike after negotiations with government collapse


Nigeria unions launched an indefinite general strike in a bid to raise the minimum wage. The government’s current offer is 60,000 naira a month.. which is about 37 euro.. The country’s grappling with the fallout from the worst cost of living crisis in a generation and strikers kicked off the standoff in Lagos and Abuja by shutting down power, disrupting flights and shutting schools..
